In June our company joined one of the key events of the year Drupal Con Austin 2014.
Austin was chosen as the venue for the conference. It is a modern city in Texas with convenient infrastructure. It was symbolic that the largest Drupal conference was held in such a rapidly developing place.
Business centers and hotels are being built throughout the city. And it is not in vain, as Drupal Con nearby hotels were filled. Only those who checked in beforehand were able to take the best places near Austin Convention Center. Other guests, including us, had to stay a little further.
We want to note the exhibition format of the conference. The large hall of Austin Convention Center let companies present themselves on the individual stands and pavilions. Distribution of souvenirs and promotion gifts was of great interest. Stands, where t-shirts were presented, were the most popular places during the breaks. As it turned out, 3500 participants from 60 countries not only love Drupal but also love funny t-shirts.
Traditionally, Dries Buytaert’s speech opened Drupal Con. His speech was devoted to the development of Drupal. These were inspiring words about new opportunities and prospects.
Thanks to the organizers and participants for the wonderful atmosphere. There was a lot of fun, meeting new people and useful information. See you in Amsterdam!
